Hello, Phoenixborn!
Plaid Hat Games has returned from Essen Spiel '25. While there was no Ashes for sale (we're going to fulfill your Kickstarter pledges first), we did bring a copy of the new Ashes Ascendancy Starter Set with us. Our main goal was just to show visiting backers what they could expect, but that lush Ashes art drew in a lot of new, interested people.
The primary reason for this update is to let you know the Ashes Dice Roller app has entered open testing!
The app can be accessed through the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. Note that if you choose the Apple Store, you will also need to download Test Flight, which lets you access apps that are still in testing. Please feel free to try the app out and put it through its paces!
Nick has also just updated the guidelines for Ashes Organized Play, and I have posted an article on our website. If you're new to Ashes, you might not be interested, but anyone who would like to read it can click here.

Address Locks and Card Charges Coming

As we told someone in the comments recently, no news is good news! Production has been on schedule, and we are very pleased with everything we have seen thus far. Fulfillment will begin in the near future; we believe early November.
Backers in Asia have already had their addresses locked and their cards charged. On November 3rd, 2025, we will lock addresses and charge cards for all other backers.
Thanks everyone! We hope you are as excited to receive your bounty of new cards as we are. In fact, Nick has wrapped up design of the first Ashes Ascendancy expansion set to come out after the new Starter Set has been released. We promise to preview some of it for you in the near future!

Mini Update: Last Call for Address Changes in Asia!

Hello Phoenixborn!
Production nears completion and we are preparing Ashes for an oceanic voyage to our different distribution hubs. Backers in Asia however, will not have to wait for a boat, and should receive theirs more quickly (we will let you know when that begins to happen). Because of this we will be locking address changes and charging the cards of customers in Asia on September 26th. Those not in Asia are unaffected, but be aware that charges and address change locks will be coming in the near future.

September is here, and Ashes Ascendancy production is chugging along smoothly. We expect it to wrap up at the end of this month, then we move on to the next stage -- oceanic voyage! We have received a few production copies, both of the starter set and the all-in tier, and are very pleased with the quality.
One of the most common questions we are being asked right now is, when can backers expect their cards to be charged for pledge manager activity? We have not set a hard date yet, but cards will be charged once we draw closer to shipping. We will let you know when that will be, giving you as much notice as possible.
Everyone received notice a couple days ago that orders are locking. For many of you, this gave you more time than we originally said, but US/UK customers still have a bit more time to finalize their selections. Don't wait too long though, as some add-ons have already sold out.
We'll update you soon once production has finalized. Thank you!

Greetings, Phoenixborn!
Plaid Hat Games has returned from Gen Con '25, where we were delighted to show off prints of the Ashes Big Box (the same one we showed you photos of previously), and the new Ashes Ascendancy Starter Set. Visitors to our booth got to sit down and demo a Dragonborn battle, and the excitement was fun to witness. We met quite a few of you, which was fantastic, and we hope you enjoyed getting the chance to mess around with your future rewards.
Production continues on the campaign rewards. There isn't much to report there. We're still expecting production to wrap up in late September, receive copies in October, and then start fulfillment soon after. We're predicting that happens early November, but will update you as things become more clear.
The pledge manager is still open! We plan on closing it and "locking in" orders for customers outside the US and UK on September 1st. This is due to us needing specific numbers for shipping to those hubs. You will still be able to use the pledge manager to change your address, if needed, after that date. At this time, 81% of you have completed your survey. If you have not, please do so as soon as possible since September 1st is just around the corner!
